Start a Chapter

Thank you for your interest in starting a CSNP Chapter in your local area! Starting a local chapter in your city or area is a great way to meet other security professionals, organize education events, and establish yourself as a leader in the security community.  

To be eligible to start a chapter, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Be a resident of the area in which you plan to start a chapter for a minimum of one year

  • Commit to hold a minimum of 4 events per year

  • Commit to recruit additional volunteers in the proposed area

  • Commit to cover the cost of the Meetup platform at $200 per year (whether through personal contribution, sponsorship, etc.) - personal contributions will be reimbursed after a year assuming the chapter hosts 4 events

  • Commit to finding sponsors

  • Commit to attend chapter and national meetings

  • Fill out the Volunteer Request form - select only 'Local Chapter Leadership' for the role/department 

  • Fill out the Chapter Request form

  • Encouraged: have proven leadership experience in a professional setting
