Membership is Free.
We believe that cybersecurity education and career development resources should be accessible to everyone, so we do not include a monthly fee for membership. We believe everyone has a right to learn and protect themselves, so we work hard to remove financial barriers and offer free programs and resources as much as possible.
Diversity and Inclusivity.
There is a lack of representation of women and BIPOC in technology fields, and this gap extends cybersecurity. Women make up 20% and minorities make up 26% of the global cybersecurity workforce. We provide additional free programs and resources to underrepresented groups, including a free bootcamp. We also strive to ensure diversity within our organization, leadership, and presenters.
Stop Cyber Crime.
Cyber crime is on the rise, and we provide cyber awareness to the general public, schools, and universities that is accessible to help people protect themselves, especially since 80% of all cyber attacks involve phishing or social engineering, which is preventable through cyber awareness education.
Close the gap.
There are 3.5 million unfilled security jobs, but this is not due to a lack of interest. Cybersecurity careers are becoming increasingly popular because they are high-paying, flexible, enjoyable, and full-filling. The problem is that even entry-level jobs generally require skills, knowledge, and experience. We provide educational events for all levels and information and events on all angles of career development.
